একবার এক দেশে ছিলেন এক মহান নবী, তাঁর নাম ছিল ইউসুফ (আলাইহিস্ সালাম)। তিনি ছিলেন ইয়াকুব (আলাইহিস্ সালাম)-এর পুত্র এবং ইসহাক (আলাইহিস্ সালাম)-এর নাতি। তিনি ছিলেন অত্যন্ত সুন্দর, বুদ্ধিমান এবং ন্যায়পরায়ণ। তাঁর জীবনের কাহিনী কুরআনুল কারীমের সূরা ইউসুফে বিশদভাবে বর্ণিত হয়েছে, যা একটি অসাধারণ উদাহরণ ধৈর্য, সততা ও আল্লাহর উপর ভরসার।
শৈশব ও স্বপ্ন:-
ইউসুফ (আঃ) ছোটবেলায় এক আশ্চর্য স্বপ্ন দেখেছিলেন। তিনি স্বপ্নে দেখলেন, এগারোটি তারা, সূর্য ও চাঁদ তাঁকে সেজদা করছে। তিনি এই স্বপ্নটি তাঁর পিতা ইয়াকুব (আঃ)-কে বললেন। পিতা বুঝতে পারলেন, ইউসুফ আল্লাহর একজন নির্বাচিত বান্দা হবেন। তিনি বললেন, “এই স্বপ্ন তোমার ভাইদের কাছে বলো না, তারা হিংসা করতে পারে।”
ভাইদের ষড়যন্ত্র:-
ইউসুফ (আঃ)-এর ভাইয়েরা তাঁর প্রতি হিংসা করত, কারণ তাঁরা ভাবত পিতা তাঁকে বেশি ভালোবাসেন। তারা সিদ্ধান্ত নিল তাঁকে দূরে কোথাও ফেলে দেবে। একদিন তারা তাঁকে কূয়ায় ফেলে দিল। পরে এক কাফেলা এসে তাঁকে কূয়া থেকে উদ্ধার করে মিশরে নিয়ে গেল এবং এক আমিরের কাছে বিক্রি করে দিল।
পরীক্ষার সময়:-
মিশরের এক উচ্চপদস্থ ব্যক্তি ইউসুফ (আঃ)-কে দাস হিসেবে গ্রহণ করেন এবং তাঁর স্ত্রী ইউসুফকে লালনপালন করতে থাকেন। কিন্তু পরে সেই নারী ইউসুফের প্রতি আসক্ত হয়ে পড়েন এবং খারাপ কিছু করতে চেয়েছিলেন। ইউসুফ (আঃ) আল্লাহকে ভয় করে তা প্রত্যাখ্যান করেন। এতে তিনি কারাগারে চলে যান, যদিও তিনি নির্দোষ ছিলেন।
কারাগারে স্বপ্ন ব্যাখ্যা:-
জেলখানায় ইউসুফ (আঃ) দুই বন্দীর স্বপ্ন ব্যাখ্যা করেন এবং পরে মিশরের রাজার স্বপ্নেরও ব্যাখ্যা দেন – যে দেশে সাত বছর সচ্ছলতা এবং সাত বছর দুর্ভিক্ষ আসবে। এই ব্যাখ্যা শুনে রাজা এতই মুগ্ধ হলেন যে, ইউসুফ (আঃ)-কে জেল থেকে মুক্ত করে অর্থনীতির দায়িত্ব দিলেন।
পুনর্মিলন :-
দুর্ভিক্ষের সময় ইউসুফ (আঃ)-এর ভাইয়েরা মিশরে খাদ্য সংগ্রহে আসেন। তাঁরা ইউসুফকে চিনতে পারেননি, কিন্তু ইউসুফ তাঁদের চিনতে পারেন। পরবর্তীতে ইউসুফ (আঃ) নিজেকে প্রকাশ করেন এবং বলেন, “আমি তোমাদের ভাই ইউসুফ।” সবাই অবাক হয়ে যায়। পরে তিনি পিতামাতা ও ভাইদের মিশরে এনে সম্মান দেন। স্বপ্নের ব্যাখ্যা তখন সত্যি হয়, যখন সবাই তাঁর সামনে সেজদা করে।
